A photographer for over three decades, my mainstay for many of those years was music photography.
The late 1970s-1980s was an electrifying time in music history, punk-rockin' in NYC. That's also when I acquired my first “real” camera, a Canon AT-1. The loud, fast, irrepressible music, the characters and clubs that supported the scene, from CBGBs and Max's Kansas City to the Dirt Club and the Meadowbrook, plus the fabulous Camera Barn and Olden Camera made for an exhilarating entry into the world of captured images. My work appeared in everything from “Spin” and “Rolling Stone” to the iconic “Aquarian Weekly.”
Over the years, I've collaborated with hundreds of wonderful people on many diverse projects, not just music, and for the past eight years contributed regularly to “Inside Jersey” magazine, specializing in food photography.
I've shot political campaigns (Richard Codey, Bill Bradley, Peter Shapiro, Steve Adubato) and animal shelter adoptees. I’ve covered countless local news stories, from school plays to snow storms. I've worked with non-profit and not-for-profit organizations. I’ve documented special events for a local medical center and community college. Summertime music festivals and New Jersey Roller Derby round out my calendar.
A long-time resident of Asbury, in Warren County, my mainstay for many years was music photography, with an eclectic catalog of performers, shot at many venues large and small, for an array of print media. Over the past decade I've expanded my horizons to include just about everything else, with food photography being a strong favorite. There's never a dull moment with a diversity of interests!
